Congratulations Glenda!
Ms Glenda Johnson, from Sevier County, was recently named President and Board Chair of the Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council., which is responsible for all the Girl Scouts in 18 counties of East Tennessee.
Her service to Girl Scouts started in 1983 when her daughter Stefanie became a Brownie. and she became an Assistant Troop Leader.
In her new position, Ms Johnson will play a vital role in the current realignment of all the Girl Scout Councils in the United States. She will help oversee the transition of the Tanasi Council as it merges with others to include 50 counties from West Virginia to Northern Georgia.
Glenda is also very involved in the capital campaign to raise $4 million to build a new council headquarters and program facility in Knoxville.
Ms Johnson has been a guiding light and inspiration to all the Girl Scouts and adult volunteers in the Smoky Shadows Service Unit in Sevier County. We are very proud of Ms Johson. She is an outstanding example to all women everywhere.
Best Wishes from all of us...We are so proud of you!
